The history and philosophy of Bobux
The beginnings:

Bobux is a family business founded by Chris and Colleen Bennet in 1991 in New Zealand.
The Bennets were motivated by the lack of comfortable and “healthy” slippers available in stores for their then 9-month-old daughter Chloe.
The slippers available at the time had soles that were too hard, often fell off and came untied – they were uncomfortable and certainly did not guarantee the healthy development of Chloe's feet.
The parents decided to make their daughter some slippers themselves that would not have these disadvantages. They used soft suede leather as the material, thus eliminating the problem of hard soles, and replaced the laces with elastic - this is how the unique and pioneering design of soft sole slippers.
Bobux is a pioneer in the field of children's footwear production
It is the first company in the world to start producing slippers with soft leather soles (soft soles).
Bobux is one of the few footwear manufacturers that also promotes the idea of “bare feet” (walking barefoot is the healthiest thing for young feet).
Chris and Colleen made more pairs for friends who liked Chloe's shoes and wanted their children to have similar ones. Seeing the interest in this innovative product, Chris and Colleen decided to start production on a larger scale.
The primary goal that guided the Bennets in creating slippers for their daughter, i.e., ensuring comfort and guaranteeing the healthy development of her feet, became the company's priority and its hallmark.
Bobux today:
In the following years, the Bennets expanded their range to include shoes for children learning to walk (the Step Up series), shoes for children who are already walking confidently (the I-Walk series), and shoes that protect the feet of infants (the New-B series).
Over the past few years, Bobux has been working intensively on developing footwear for older children, resulting in the launch of the Kid+ series (sizes 27-33).
Consistent promotion of the barefoot concept, the use of natural materials, and cooperation with pediatricians and physiotherapists have made Bobux a recognizable and highly reputable brand, with the company selling children's footwear in over 30 countries around the world.
